CRUZAPrivacy Policy

CRUZA (the “App”) is published by Sherar Genius, LLC d/b/a Crosslingual Editions (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep the App's data practices deliberately minimal.
What we collect
- Learning progress. Which puzzles you've solved, your in-progress answers, your vocabulary review schedule, starred words, your daily streak, and your settings (such as your languages and level). This lets the App remember where you are.
- Email address (optional). Only if you choose to create an account to back up and sync your progress across devices. We use a one-time login code; we do not store a password.
- Anonymous identifier. By default the App creates an anonymous account with a random ID so your progress can be saved without any personal information. No email or name is required to use the App.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or device advertising identifiers. The App contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
How we use it
- To save your progress and sync it across your devices when you link an email.
- To operate core features (review scheduling, streaks, settings).
- To respond to you if you contact us for support.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Your account and progress are stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, which processes this data on our behalf to provide sync and storage. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
Data retention and deletion
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and your synced progress and cannot be undone.
- You may also request deletion by emailing us at sherargenius@gmail.com, and we will delete your account and data.
- If you only sign out, your synced data remains so you can sign back in later; deleting your account removes it.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App.
